We would like to reassure all our customers that we are obviously very aware of the current position with regards COVID-19 and the national lockdown. The first thing we wanted to confirm is that our showroom is open and you are still allowed to come.  The government advice is that you may leave your home for work if you cannot reasonably work from home.  You are therefore permitted to come to our showroom for work purposes.


We have naturally taken every precaution to ensure that you will be working in a safe environment including the following measures:


  • The showroom covers 6,500 sq ft and has a high, airy ceiling and windows which we can have open to create good air flow.
  • We will register you upon arrival, take your temperature and ensure all visitors sanitise their hands. 
  • We are insisting on everyone wearing a mask and ensuring 2m social distancing is enforced at all times.  Both masks and gloves can be provided if you would like them or forget to bring your own.
  • All customers attending have a booking and we have customers spread across an 8 week period so it won’t be anything like as busy as being on our trade fair stand.
  • I’m afraid we won’t be serving any food or drink on site for Covid reasons, so please bring with you any refreshments you would like.  There is an M&S Foodhall and a Tesco within a couple of minutes’ drive, please let us know if you would like directions.

Can I still order from you?

Yes. You can order online or via email to sales@floralsilk.co.uk

I don’t have an account.  Can I still order?

Yes you can. Simply register for a trade account on our website and you should receive confirmation and log in details within a couple of days.


If I order now, when will I receive it?

Our warehouse is still fulfilling orders but we are operating at a much reduced capacity in order to comply with safe working practices. Due to the reduced demand we are having fewer collections and our carrier are not guaranteeing our usual service. Please be assured though that your order will be sent out as soon as possible and you will receive notification once it has been dispatched.


What are you doing to make sure deliveries to customers are safe?

We are sending out any orders through Parcelforce who are operating with all necessary precautions. Please visit their website https://www.parcelforce.com/coronavirus for more information. Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not put at any additional risk of contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19).


Is there a minimum order value?

Yes, our minimum order value is £100 (excluding VAT) and orders below £400 (mainland UK) are subject to carriage charge.


Are you still able to receive stock from overseas in the current environment?

Yes we are already seeing normal service starting to resume from many of our suppliers in the Far East and all Christmas 2020 orders should be delivered as normal. We also have a large UK floral stockholding and so can fulfil any everyday orders without issue.


Can faux flowers be a successful replacement for fresh?

Faux flowers are a great replacement or addition to fresh flowers especially in the current climate where it is difficult to source fresh. Faux blooms are now of such high quality that it can be difficult to tell the difference by sight or even touch. They can also be a beneficial replacement during the hay fever season as are naturally pollen free. Use them on their own for a long lasting arrangement or add to fresh for a fuller bouquet.
