How to Create a Beautiful Easter Tablescape (Easy Styling Ideas)
Published: 20/03/2026
Creating a beautiful Easter tablescape is easier than you might think. With a thoughtful combination of spring florals, faux garlands and seasonal décor, you can transform your table into something truly special.
What is an Easter Tablescape?
An Easter tablescape is simply the seasonal decorating of your dining table. Many of us host guests across Easter Sunday and the bank holiday, and designing a tablescape is a simple way to add a wow factor to the occasion, whilst being utterly fuss free.
How to Style Your Easter Table
Step 1: Start with A Base
The base of your easter table might be a neutral tablecloth, or one in keeping with the design you choose. Many people will choose to add runners and placemats to make the core place setting. In our Floralsilk example, we’ve selected a neutral tablecloth, but replaced the runner with our dogwood garland. It’s a quick and easy substitute that immediately makes the table more interesting. An effortless way to bring interest and texture to the table.
Step 2: Add Height with Flowers
We recommend faux flowers for your tablescape, so that no matter when you sit down, they always look their best. Whether it’s the iconic spring daffodils, or softer seasonal tones, faux arrangements allow you to style your table exactly as you envision without worrying about timing or freshness.
As a tip, when selecting and placing your faux flowers, be careful to ensure height doesn’t obscure the eyeline of your guests.
Having an artificial easter centrepiece means that you can store it for the following year – no need to worry about wilting or disposal of beautiful florals!

Step 3: Layer in Easter Décor
It can be worth at this stage adding in your crockery so that you can evenly space your easter décor around where the available space will be.
The best Easter decorations for your table are those that vary in height and texture and are visually exciting to look at, and at this stage are likely to be additional accents. Opt for seasonal ornaments, and place them around the table at regular intervals for all guests to enjoy.
In ours, we’ve used our felt pots – small decorations with a cheerful smile that feel both seasonal and eye-catching for your guests to spot. Their smiles will make you smile, and with three to choose from, you can face them to the guests who might love them most. We’ve also propped an Easter Wreath within our tablescape. Whilst you may think of them as simply door ornaments, they’re extremely versatile with indoor décor. Our Easter Egg Wreath here has the same colour accents of our tablescape, and we have a full range of easter wreaths available to match yours.
Step 4: Use a Twig Tree as a Statement Centrepiece
Our bestselling Easter twig tree is one of the easiest and most effective ways to create a statement centrepiece.
In our own easter tablescape, we’ve added our twig tree to the head of the table. This adds height, drawing the eye to the statement of it, but without blocking sightlines. We’ve selected some of our favourite hanging ornaments to add. It’s important to vary texture for interest, and we’ve got felt vegetables and eggs, alongside delicately decorated glass easter eggs.
To truly make the easter statement, we’ve also added our hanging Happy Easter sign - you needn’t be subtle in your statement piece!
Having a twig tree is an instant conversation and also an opportunity for a future decorating tradition. Decorate with the children, or make your own decorations each year. For more easter tree decoration ideas, take a look at our full easter range.
Step 5: Finish with small details
Although additional steps are optional, if there are tiny personal details, this is the best time to add them. It might be that you choose to add name cards, or want to add in candles to your tablescape. You might add any small flower bunch gifts to your settings. Our easter table is the perfect foundation, but it’s your own style that makes it unique.
Why Artificial Flowers are Ideal for Easter Hosting
With no last-minute rush to the florists to pick up fresh flowers, artificial flowers are the perfect alternative. Buy them in advance, set them up when you choose, no need to worry about watering them, and they’ll always look their best. We love being able to reuse them year after year, and your allergy-suffering guests will thank you for their pollen-free state too – the perfect, fuss-free, high-style choice is always our realistic artificial flowers.
Seasonal Switch Up
We love having a tablescape ready for our guests at any time, and our Easter tablescape is designed with an easy seasonal switch up in mind. Simply remove the direct references to Easter, and your Spring tablescape will remain – and as it includes faux flowers, will look perfect at every single dinner until you swap it for your summer style.
Quick Easter Tablescape Styling Checklist
Start with a Base: Add your core components to your table first so you have a canvas to build from. Add a faux flower garland in place of a runner for a spring feel.
Add height with flowers: Choose florals that stand at different levels, considering eyelines of your guests. Utilising artificial flowers means you can do this in advance.
Layer in Easter decorations: Add different textures with Easter ornaments that suit the theme of your table. Is it cheerful and bright? Is it pastel and sophisticated?
Add a Statement Centrepiece: Include something eye-catching as a conversation piece, perhaps larger or of different colours, that has something almost unique about it. A twig tree is the perfect option for this, but you might opt for a large faux flower bouquet or utilise existing décor.
Add in the finishing touches: From candles to place names, perhaps little faux floral gifts, add in those personal last touches to finalise your table.
