With only a few weeks left of UK summertime, we’ve been starting to think about welcoming in the changing season. It’s never too early to start planning your next home refresh, so to help inspire you on where to begin, we have created three new inspiration arrangements for Autumn.
1. The Classic One: Autumnal Hydrangeas & Hypericum
Let’s face it, you can’t think of Autumn without thinking about the colours. Oranges, reds, burgundys and browns, with the occasional olive or sage green, this is what inspired our Autumnal Hydrangeas & Hypericum faux flower inspiration arrangement.
Big, blousy heads of artificial hydrangea in a sumptuous reddish-brown creates the focal point. Around this, we added some contrasting seasonal textures in the form of spiky faux dianthus, fluffy faux viburnum and a scattering of soft pink hypericum berries. To finish, we included our long, elegant ECO faux capsicum leaves and a beautifully subtle twist in the form of white ECO faux ranunculus, providing a touch of lightness to the end result.
2. The Trending One: Café au Lait Flowers & Foliage
Colour palettes are trending more and more towards warm, earthy neutrals, in particular the ‘Café au Lait’ shades of creamy white to blush pink. We’re also seeing an increase in arrangements that take on an effortless, wild and wonderful aesthetic.
Our Café au Lait Flowers & Foliage inspiration arrangement takes the creamiest of faux chrysanthemums and buttermilk ECO faux daisies and puts them centre stage. They are surrounded beautifully by dusky pink ECO Autumn peonies, pink ECO faux daisies, dancing stems of Autumn Chinese Lantern in both a Green/Purple and a Red/Green with a subtle, Autumn coloured capsicum leaf to finish.
3. The Complimentary One: Autumn Dahlias & Poppies
Taking the golden, deep yellow and olive green hues of the season to a colour wheel, we decided our final arrangement would involve a colour harmony. By combining these shades with the opposite colour on the wheel, we decided to incorporate blue.
Dancing foliage stems of ECO faux long leaf eucalyptus and artificial Autumn geum gave us the backdrop to our Autumn Dahlias & Poppies faux flower inspiration arrangement. Warming yellow tones came from our Juliet dahlias and gold ECO faux poppies, while our subtle pop of deep blue came from our faux thistle spray and blue ECO faux poppies.
There are so many ways to get creative with your faux flower displays this Autumn. If you opt for classic Autumn tones of artificial flower and dried-look leaves, be sure to add interest with textured faux foliage and a berry or two. Align with the seasonal Café au Lait trend of buttery creams and dusky pinks, while achieving that ‘just-picked’ aesthetic by including some stems that dance softly above the rest. Or, if you can’t resist a pop of colour amongst your Autumnal arrangement, you can’t go wrong if you select the shade opposite to your main Autumn hue on a colour wheel.
