How Much Space Do You Have?
Assessing the space for your Christmas tree is as much about space as it is height. Of course, you won’t want to select a 9ft Christmas tree if you have the UK average ceiling height of 8ft, which is an easy decision to make, but how big can you go?
A general rule is looking at about a foot beneath the height of your ceiling as being the tallest Christmas tree you should consider. That way, when you add your tree topper to it, or add a little extra height with your tree skirt, the tree never feels too big for the room.
Of course, you should then consider where you’re going to be placing it. If it’s going to live on the kitchen side, a smaller tree, perhaps in a pot, might be a better option. If it’s going in a large open space, you may want to consider a wider tree.
