Which size of artificial Christmas tree is right for me?
To find your perfect Christmas tree height, measure your ceiling height first, then leave 6–12 inches of clearance between the top of the tree and your ceiling for a tree topper or star. As a general guide, a 5ft Christmas tree work well for apartments or small rooms where space is at a premium; 6–7ft Christmas trees suit most standard living rooms; and 8ft or taller is best for high ceilings, entryways, or larger open-plan spaces.
How much floor space do I need?
To ensure your Christmas tree will fit in your room, make sure to also check the tree's base diameter, not just its height. A "full" profile tree with a wide base needs more room than a "slim" or "pencil" style, so allow floor space roughly one-third to half the tree's height (for example, a 7ft tree typically needs a 3.5–4ft-wide clearing). Don't forget to allow for a stand or Christmas tree skirt, and for walking around it comfortably.
Should I buy a pre-lit or unlit tree?
Pre-lit trees save setup time and give you consistent, even lighting straight out of the box, which is ideal if you want a fuss-free display without hours of untangling! Unlit trees offer more flexibility, letting you choose your own lights, colours, and brightness.
